If it “takes a Village to raise a child,” it takes no less to care at home for an older, disabled or chronically ill family member. How blessed we are in Rappahannock County to have a “village” of caring and capable people who support both its young and not so young.
During four successive Thursdays in October and November, more than 30 county residents participated in classes for family caregivers. Rappahannock County is fortunate to have a rich community resource in the individuals who taught those sessions; the educators, doctors, nurses, attorneys, allied health professionals, and representatives of home health supply companies and support organizations.
