DWI charge
Joyce Ann Shirey was arrested and charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated. The 50-year-old Front Royal woman was driving on Zachary Taylor Highway north of Flint Hill when Deputy Robert Finchum arrested her.
According to court documents, Shirey had a blood-alcohol content of 0.13 and she was also charged with speeding, allegedly traveling 70 miles per hour in the 55-mile-per-nour zone.
