Apology
To the editor:
In answer to Mrs. Barron’s letter of last week I would like to apologize for my sheep. I can’t blame her for being cross but had she told us about it we could have looked for the hole in the fence sooner and saved a lot of hard feelings. During this hot weather the sheep go out only at night and that inviting pond was too much for them. If Mrs. Barron plans to live in the country she must get used to the ways of the country and one of these is to be forthright with ones neighbors. Mr. Woody Barron has been our neighbor for years and is one whom anybody would like to have. Perhaps he can give some good advice on living next door to farmers! We try to keep the fence up but it is a continuing job and we would appreciate your letting us know when the sheep annoy you.
