Approximately a dozen young athletes from Rappahannock have attended summer track meets in Winchester. The meets are called “All-Comers”, and includes runners of all ages, from 3 to 70 years old who compete for fun.

Several girls from the county have shown improvement in their special events. Judy Lynn and Judy Nicholson have improved their half-mile times and Johanna Day has run her best hurdle time.

Some of the athletes are working on new distances, lisa Jones and Rhonda Wiley are running sprints now while Ann Thomas has tackled the two-mile run with success.
