A four night gala carnival will open next Wednesday, July 20 in Sperryville under the sponsorship of Sperryville Fire Department. Preparations are underway for the benefit carnival at the grounds located west of the village on Route 211.
According to Fire Chief Pete Estes, the carnival highlights include a grand parade Thursday evening beginning promptly at 7 p.m. Line up begins at six o’clock. A queen will be crowned on Friday night and the fortunate young lady will act as Honorary Fire Chief for the coming year, representing the department in other parades and activities.
Food, concessions and games, in addition to exciting rides will flourish on the midway, affording fun for everyone of all ages.
Saturday night the carnival' will be climaxed by the awarding of a grand prize
