a bitter personal vendetta against Howell?
One suspects that Howell’s opponents know perfectly well that his views on gun control, right-to-work, public employee unionization and all the rest are, as Howell puts it, phony issues. They are simplistic emotional appeals aimed at the vast unconcerned Virginia electorate for which the right wing political engineers have less than contempt.
