Deputy R. D. Hawkins of the Rappahannock County Sheriffs Department has attended and completed an in-service certified state approved police school at Blue Ridge Community College in Staunton. The week of school was from September 26 to October 1.
The course included instruction in search and seizure, juvenile law, defensive tactics, civil liberties, crime scene investigation, police interviewing and hostage situations.
