Charles “Chuck” Robb, Democratic candidate for Lt* Governor, and John J. “Butch” Davies, Democratic candidate for the General Assembly will make five stops in Rappahannock County Monday as they campaign in the 25th District.
Traveling in the Davies mobile headquarters, Davies and Robb will start their day at 4:55 a.m. greeting commuter buses at Lake of the Woods in Orange County.
The candidates expect to reach the Comer Store in Sperryville at 11:15 a.m., moving on to Hampton Inn at 11:40. By 11:50 Davies and Robb should be in Washington, with stops planned at Washington Cash and the Gulf Station.
Hackley’s Store in Amissville will be the last stop in Rappahannock at 12:20 p.m.
Citizens interested in meeting the candidates and discussing issues are invited to visit the stores indicated. Theme for the tour will be “The Country Store—The Heart of the Country.”
