his Department had received three radios on a different frequency for in-county contact, paid for with special federal funds. The new state police frequency radios would be used to make radio contact outside the county, he said.
“Can we get by with two state police radios?” asked Luke.
“We’ll have to,” answered Buntin, “if the Supervisors don’t approve the additional appropriation.”
“Try to live with two,” Luke suggested. “If we find out that we can’t, then we’ll realize that we have to get another one.”
