Cub Den 1
Meeting
Cub Scout Den 1 of Pack 123 met Thursday, October 6, 1977 after school. First we saluted the flag. Then we took up dues. We talked about fire prevention and about rescuing drowning people. Then we elected Tom Heffern for the news writer. Then we talked about a pack skit.
Our den mothers are Mrs. Donna Fisher and Mrs. Diane Heffern. Our den chief is Mike Fisher.
Cub members of Den 1 are: Chip Russell, Jonathan Watson, Richie Adams, Tommy Gaines, Leslie Terry, Tommy Jenkins, Lewis Fisher, David Beck and Tom Heffern.
Den Two of Cub Scout Pack 123 visited the Hall of Valour at the New Market Battlefield last Saturday morning. After learning that young VMI cadets had taken an important part in the battle, the cubs reenacted the cadet’s role and charged up the elope to “capture” the Yankee battery at the top.
