Three generations of an Amissville family made a grand sweep of prizes at the Prince William Fair held last week in Manassas.
Mrs. Paul Poling (Gertie) took First place with an applehead doll and a pecan pie. She ranked second with a music box egg and third with a decorated egg, peach pie and pepper relish.
Mrs. Poling’s father, Henry Lillard. formerly of Rapidan, who is now making his home with the Polings, placed third with a wood carving.
Her daughter, Cheryl Poling Taylor, captured first place and best of show in the pottery division with a jug
