Miss Karen Elizabeth Glick. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Glick of Port Republic became the bride of Steven Paul Metzler. son of Dr. and Mrs. David G. Metzler of Bridgewater on Saturday. August 19, 1978 in the Bridgewater Church of the Brethern at ten-thirty o'clock.
The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence R. Racer, formerly of Rappahannock, now residing in Harrisonburg.
The bride, escorted to the altar by the bridegroom, was attired in her mother's wedding gown of candlelight marquisette featuring a high neckline with a wide yoke ruffle and long sleeves comiitrg~rs> a point. A matching truffled peplum accented the basque waistline and extended to the chapel train. The hand-rolled veil of silk illusion fell from a coronet of satin enhanced with lace and pearls. She carried long-stemmed lavender roses.
