Dog Fun Match
At Culpeper
The Culpeper Animal Shelter is sponsoring an AKC dog ftin match Sunday at Mountain Run Lake Park on Rt. 718 just off Rt. 29S south of Culpeper.
Registration fee is $2.50 per dog. Pood and drinks will be available, and admission is free.
There will also be a dog tattoo clinic, for which a small charge is made, but no reservation is needed.
Food Prices
Up 2.6% *
Area food prices rose 2.6 per cent in June, twice the usual increase for the month.
Beef prices continued to rise sharply. Prices were also higher for pork, poultry, cola drinks, lettuce, fresh milk, oranges, apples and potatoes. Grocery store food prices ruse 2.2 per cent in May.
