The notable disappointment of the week came when Congressman Robert Daniel of the 4th Congressional District refused the request of constituent farmers to support the House Joint Resolution.
This resolution represented the farmer's effort to keep the agriculture income issue alive in the waning days of the Congress session.
Dinwiddie County AAM spokesman Billy Bain said that in spite of some signs of marginal commodity price increases during the early summer, “We are now looking at prices as low as and possibly even lower than last year if presently projected crop surpluses do result.”
