In the excitement of the first days of school, the small child in particular may forget all the safety warnings he’s been taught. Qiildren need to be reminded to exercise caution in crossing streets at bus stops. Although state law requires all drivers to stop for school buses, some forget or ignor the regulations in their rush to get to work, home or an appointment on time. Children—from the tiniest kindergartener to the towering high school senior—should know the proper department on the school bus. Drivers can’t give their full attention to the road when there are 30 screaming, bouncing kids behind them.
Schools everywhere are faced with declining academic achievement, with kids who aren’t learning. By seeing that their child receives a thorough health examination, a parent can at least ensure that their son or daughter is in the best possible physical condition to receive an education.
