The Sperryville Rescue Squad responded to an accident on Rt. 211 east of Sperryville August 11. They carried Manley Durner of Fredericksburg to Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
August 22, the Flint Hill Fire Dept, fought a car fire on Rt. 522 north of Flint Hill.
Washington Rescue Squad responded to a traffic crash August 13 on Route 522 at Huntly and took Charles Jenkins to Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal. He was dead on arrival. August 18 C. J. Miller was taken by this unit from his home in Washington to the same hospital where he remains.
August 18, Washington and Amissville fire units were alerted to a roadside brush fire in the Amissville area which apparently was a false alarm.
