Polo action resumed Sunday at Phipps Field on the first clear cool day in weeks.
Breezy and sunny with a sudden disappearance of the usual August humidity, it was a day to remember for everyone except perhaps the Middleburg team. The Rappahannock Polo Club defeated them 8-3 in an afternoon match.
At half-time Rappahannock was already leading 5-3. They succeeded in scoring in each of the last three chukkers.
