This Week
Washington, firemen will conduct their annual carnival this week, Aug. 23 through 26 at the carnival grounds east of the town. The usual activities of such a fund raising event will be included in the four nights.
After Wednesday's opening, the feature for Thursday is the grand parade beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday's activity will be the crowning of the queen and on Saturday night the awarding of prizes will be the highlight.
The parade will include fire and rescue equipment, marching units, beauty queens, majorettes and all of the interesting things which comprise a parade.
Each evening will provide fun and entertainment for all with rides on the midway, good food, concessions and games. The support of the public is anticipated.
