Cookies
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder & '/« teaspoon salt
Vi cup butter or margarine, softened
1 cup nuts, chopped fine.
1 cup flaked sweetened or unsweetened coconut.
'A cup packed finely cut up pitted dates
'A cup raisins
1 egg
2 teaspoons brandy or bourbon.
In bowl mix flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter until particles are size of peas. Stir in nuts, coconut, dates, raisins, egg and brandy. Mix with wooden spoon or hand until dough forms. Chill 1 hour. Shape in 1 inch balls. Place Vi inch apart on greased cookie sheet. With tins of fork dipped in flour, flatten balls to form l1 i inch cookies. Bake in preheated 350 degree F. oven 15 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 48.
