“All this concern about anti-inflation — here’s something that the average Rappahannock citizen could do,” Luke stated. “We could save $10,000 a year if people would just put their trash in the dumpsters. And that’s money that comes mainly from property tax dollars," said Luke, referring to the bill paid by the Supervisors each month for refuse picked up off the ground at the dumpster sites. “That money doesn't come from Revenue Sharing or from the state. It comes directly from the county's general fund.”
