Trades Already Scrutinized
As the result of controversy over the recently aborted land exchange proposal involving park property in Rappahannock and privately owned land in Greene County, land trade procedures followed by park authorities have been modified.
Jacobsen reported that the Park Service had reached an agreement with Phillip Burton, chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on National Parks and Insular Affairs, to bring "any and all land exchanges to his committee for review."
