A heart warming musical panorama of the good ole' days will be the first presentation of the season by the Culpeper Community Concert Association on November 12, at 8 p.m. in the Culpeper High School Auditorium.

Beauty and romance is the essence of operetta. Serenade devotes two full hours to the memorable music from such operetta classics as “The Merry Widow”, “Student Prince”, and “Rose Marie”. This is some of the most beautiful and popular music we have ever known. A company of eight enormously talented vocal artists accompanied by piano, harp and viola will present a calvacade of these best loved selections, plus many others.

The performers, stunningly costumed, will recreate an era remembered for its beauty, artistry and romance. The production promises to evoke a note of nostalgia in the memories of older music lovers and to inspire younger generations who have yet to become acquainted with the romantic, lilting songs of the past. Audiences will be irresistibly transported to that magical, joyful, innocent world of operetta.
