Robinson Reports
According to a letter from Robinson to the Rappahannock News, his bill would prevent exchanges of Park land for private property without a specific act of Congress, as well as prohibiting purchase or condemnation of private land for inclusion in the park.
Shenandoah Superintendent Robert Jacobsen maintained in a recent telephone interview that the Congressman’s bill would also prevent the park from accepting donated property. The bill, said Jacobsen, "would be injurious from the standpoint of blocking the park from accepting land" giving as a donation.
