NOTICE The Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors is soliciting bids for a contract for trash removal from dumpsites located within Rappahannock County. The Contractor shall perform the following services (a) Furnish all solid waste disposal trucks of proper size and character for said work and shall at all times keep said trucks in a safe and serviceable condition and operated by careful and competent drivers, and of such number as to enable Contractor to perform prompt and efficient service; and (b) Furnish and place all solid waste containers with a total capacity of not less than 194 cubic yards at locations selected and furnished by the County; and, (c) Empty each refuse container two times a week and at several locations service three times a week, and to remove the excess trash on the ground at each container location . and, (d) Furnish, maintain and operate a sanitary landfill for the proper disposal of said solid waste in accordance with state and local laws and, (e) Submit a signed written report to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors each month giving details on the condition of each collection site, and the date and time (a m or pm) of service; and. (f) Institute an effective rat control program at each container location ; and, (g) Maintain each container and each container area in a proper and clean manner All contents of each container shall become the property and responsibility of the Contractor and shall be disposed of by the Contractor in a proper and lawful sanitary landfill. Sealed bids for the above services are to be submitted to the Clerk of Court no later than 3:00 o’clock P.M. O.S.T. on Friday, July 27, 1979.
