James McFarland of Washington has been charged with driving on a revoked license, hit and run, personal injury and reckless driving following a traffic collision Saturday night.
According to Trooper H. A. Newlin. McFarland was operating a 1968 Chrysler owned by Mrs. Joyce Moss of Sperrwille travelling east on Route 211 just west of Washington when the collision occurred. McFarland attempted to pass another vehicle, a 1973 Ford driven by Charles Herman Ricketts of Oxon Hill. Md. and struck the Ford which plunged down an embankment.
Ricketts sustained an injury to his larnyx and was taken to Fauquier Hospital. Warrenton by the Washington Rescue Squad. James Ricketts, a passenger with his brother, received injuries to his nose.
McFarland and his passengers, Joyce Moss and daughter Tammy Moss and Eugene McFarland escaped injury.
