In Memoriam
In loving memory of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Bennie O. Pullen, who passed away suddently five years ago, July 12, 1974.
It was a sad day in July ~ when we stood beside an open grave
And watched them lower one we loved, but could not save
The ones who lost can only tell the pain and parting without saying farewell
There is an open gate at the end of the road
Through each must pass alone, it has been long years since that day
When the angels took our husband, father and grandfather away
In our hearts he will always be with us even though he is away
So we say sleep on our beloved one in a peaceful sleep
We all loved you, but God loved you best
A thousand times I've needed you a thousand times I've lived in the past
And wished you were by my side, beautiful memories I'll cherish forever
Silent thoughts bring many a tear, for the one we loved so dear
Gone but not forgotten.
