Swaim in mid-match of the women’s doubles when Swaim tore her achilles tendon. Baumgardner and Lowe had won the first set 76 after playing a nine-point tie-breaker. The second set was tied 4-4 when the accident occurred. Swaim will be in a cast for three months and unable to play tennis for one year.
Morning showers delayed' the start of the games and. due to afternoon showers, the men’s doubles were played indoors at Chestnut Forks in Warrenton. The men's singles and women's doubles were rescheduled for Sunday afternoon.
