Traenor is involved in individual and group counselling, spreading more information to people about drugs, and in educational work throughout Rappahannock.
The Ginic and the work which it does have been well received in the county, but there are still misconceptions about the purposes of the clinic. Some prejudice remains, in that people still see a Mental Health Clinic as a place to go only for those who are crazy or on the verge of a breakdown. But Traenor is confident that, as county residents become familiar with the work of the Clinic, most of the prejudices will fall away.
Traenor is married and living in Amissville, and he says that he likes life in rural Virginia. “I like living near the mountains,” he explains.
