associate director ot the Cooperation Extension Service at the University of Nevada, Reno, and Gale L. Vandeberg, state director and assistant chancellor of the Cooperative Extension programs at the University of Wisconsin, will speak at the Wednesday, Oct. 10 session on “Urgency for Accountability.” The program will start at 1:30 p.m.
Rep. William C. Wampler of Virginia’s 9th District, who is serving his seventh consecutive term in the House of Representatives, will speak on “Political Reality” at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9.
At other sessions, participants will discuss energy and its economic consequences; family and its social consequences including women in the work force; health from the aspect of prevention of disease; nutrition, including health factors, diet and special diets; housing including building, financing, taxes and alternatives; and inflation, to aid in understanding the economy from both personal and public aspect.
The organization will present its annual awards during the meeting, including the Distinguished Service awards, presented by each state to its outstanding members. Several scholarships also will be presented.
