Melvin Poe himself will be at this October 12 Rappahannock performance and he will blow his horn for us along with the current young huntsmen of our four neighboring recognized club fox hunts: Oliver Brown of the Rappahannock Hunt. Jim Atkins of the Old Dominion Hounds, Eddie Coles of the Warrenton Hunt. and Tommy Lee Jones of the Casanova Hunt. These huntsmen all blow the English horn.
They will be joined by some of the best known local foxhunters of northern Virginia who haw hunted their own packs for decades using the mellow and haunting cow horn, traditional to Virginia: Sam Hall of Fauquier County, Lawton Biankcnbaker of Madison County and Jack Bruce of Rappahannock County.
