To Celebrate
The John Marshall Chapter, Marshall, and the Fauquier County Chapter, Warrenton, of the Izaak Walton League of America will celebrate National Hunting and Fishing Day on Saturday at the recreation center of the Leeds Ruritan Club on Rt. 688 in Hume.
Scheduled activities include a gun safety course for hunters of all ages, archery instruction for hunters (national champions to aid), a casting tournament for distance and accuracy with both plug and fly (national champions to assist), fly tying instruction by experts, wildlife exhibits and displays, literature on environmental problems and a firearms display and demonstration by qualified National Rifle Association instructors for juniors and seniors.
The public is invited to the day-long program.
