To be considered, the applicant; must first meet these minimum qualifications:
Be at least 21 years of age by May 1, 1980, with no disabling impairments.
Have 20-20 vision, but no less than 20-40 corrected to 20-20 vision.
Have a high school diploma or an equivalency certificate such as a G. E. D.
Possess or be able to obtain a Virginia motor vehicle operator license before appointment and have a safe driving record.
Candidates with the top scores on the open competitive examination attend a training school. Those who complete the school will be hired as Game Warden A with an annual salary of $10,512.
