In other areas, the team cites the hospital bed ip, the home economics classroom for not being screened or isolated from students in class or from the food area when the bed is used as a clinic for youngsters who are ill.
The report also notes several safety problems in vocational classes including a saw blade guard missing from a rip saw and wearing of goggles by only a few students when using power saws and sanders.
With the exception of a few apparently minor deficiencies in food services, kindergarten class size, the lack of written procedures for special education screening and the high schools inoperable fire alarm system, the administrative review team’s findings indicate that Rappahannock schools meet minimum state standards in federal and state mandates.
