Rappahannock is a small community. Word travels fast here. We appeal to all county citizens to report anything suspicious that they might have noticed at the fire department’s lot across the street from the Black Kettle Restaurant and Washington’s Lake Motel. We also ask that information as to the culprits involved in this reprehensible theft be relayed to the county Sheriff’s Department.
There’s a chance that the criminals can be apprehended but not without the cooperation of responsible citizens. Remember, the next time it might be YOUR house burning when a fire truck runs out of gas.
