The Piedmont Environmental Council is a private, non-profit organization serving the Northern Virginia Piedmont counties of Albemarle, Clarke. Culpeper, Fauquier, Greene, Loudoun, Madison Orange, and Rappahannock. PEQ^s central goal is clear: to work for the best interests of all Piedmont citizens in the use of our land. This means accommodating growth when it is desirable, but making sure it is in the right place at the right time, and of the right type. It means conserving the natural beauty and rural way of life that make our land a special place. And most importantly, it means giving Piedmont citizens a real voice in the future of their land.
