A census taker must be able to follow printed instructions, do simple arithmetic and read maps. These skills will be tested before interviewing for hiring.
Pay will average S4 an hour or more. Applicants should have a home telephone and a car but neither is absolutely necessary. Mileage will be paid when a personal car is used for census work.
Census takers will be assigned to their own neighborhoods whenever possible. In addition, workers will be paid during training.
