lravel on Virginias major highways continued down in Feburary, with a 2.24 percent drop from the same month of 1979.
It was the ninth consecutive month that travel declined, according to the Virginia Department of
Highways and Transportation.
Again, out-of-state passenger cars led the decline with a drop of 6.1 percent compared to February, 1979, with travel by all passenger cars down 1.4 percent. Virginia passenger car travel was down less than 1 percent.
