As part of a campaign to increase public awareness during Mental Health Month in May, the Rappahannock Mental Health Association is sponsoring a poster contest for county youngsters in grades one through seven. Cash prizes donated by the Lions Club and Woman’s Club will be awarded for first, second and third place in two groups: grades one through three and grades four through seven.
The posters are to be entitled “Mental Health Is . . . .” and will be judged on artistic value, originality and message.
During May, posters entered in the contest will be displayed in public places throughout Rappahannock to emphasize Mental Health Month.
