Winterization
Program
With fall and winter just around the corner, lowincome residents in Culpeper. Madison. Orange, Rappahannock and Fauquier counties will be glad to know that the Area Agency of Aging’s Winterization Program can help provide needed savings in home heating costs.
Insulation, storm windows and caulking are installed in the homes of eligible occupants to reduce the loss of heat through surfaces exposed to the outdoors. New income guidelines allow a single person with a maximum income of $395.00 per month or a two-person household with an income of $522.00 per month to qualify. Income guidelines are geared higher for larger households. Recipients of SSI are eligible for the program as well.
Priority is being given to the elderly and handicapped, but all requests will be reviewed. Don’t wait until winter—APPLY NOW—if you will need help.
