Hint Hill Fire Company reported winners in Thursday's grand parade as follows: Best appearing fire company, town over 500, South End of Winchester, first, Culpeper, second, Warrenton, third; same, under 500, Marbury, Md., Lois of Fauquier and Greenwood, first, second and third respectively.

Marbury, Md. also was cited for coming longest distance while South Warren had the best appearing brush truck or mini-pumper and South End was second. Robert Cooper of Front Royal had the oldest piece of fire equipment.
