"I’m happy to have the appointment. I really am,” Thornhill continued, adding that after graduation from VPI he considered taking the standard 40 hour per week job with regular 9 to 5 hours instead of returning to Rappahannock County to farm. “But I didn't want to be like lots of my friends who’ve left the county. I didn’t want to run out on things. I decided to come back and stick it out here.”
In a third appointment suggested by Wood, Capt Howard Holschuh was named to the Chapter 1C mental health and mentai retardation board to replace retiring member George Muth.
