tne roaa to tne new nome or the Amissville dumpsters. Several months ago, the board approved purchase of 6.88 acres from Herman N. Clatterbuck for S14.000, responding to a barrage of complaints over conditions at the highly visible dump site on Route 211 and rental charges from a local property owner for placing the containers on her land. But the new site could not be used until improvements to the access road were first completed. Dick Latham, supervisor representing Jackson District. was authorized to find a contractor for the job.
The consensus among the supervisors was that Critzer’s bill appeared unusually high. The total included 54 and one-quarter hours with a cat loader at $1,627.50; 18 and a half hours with a motor grader at $555; 55 and threequarter hours of labor at $278.75; 388.62 tons of stone for $1,313.54 and $1,165.86 for hauling stone.
The board members present on Monday agreed to defer payment until they have an opportunity to discuss Critzer's work with Supervisor Latham, who hired the contractor and oversaw the project.

In a letter to the commissioner of revenue, Mr. and Mrs. Willie C. Smith of Chester Gap complained that dumpsters in their community have been moved on their private property at the comer of Routes 610 and 522, land they intend to sell as soon as improvements to Route 610 now under construction are completed.
