A preliminary hearing for three Washington men on charges of breaking and entering and grand larceny was set for January 27, 1981, by general district judge John Alexander on Tuesday.
Thomas Glasker, 21, Philip Register, 21, and Albert Gatewood, 24, were arrested along with a 16-yearold juvenile on December 4. They’ve been charged with felonies in connection with breaking into the Pine Knot Inn on December 2 and taking approximately $200 worth of cigarettes, beer and cash, according to sheriff W. A. Buntin.
Also on Tuesday, Judge Alexander found probable cause to certify Jimmy Wayne Nicholson to the grand jury on charges of felonious escape. Susan Sisson was also certified on a related charge of aiding a fugitive. After hearing testimony. Judge Alexander declined to certify Nicholson’s brother, Edward Mac Nicholson, on ch^ges of aiding a fugitive.
Nicholson, an inmate at the Woodbridge Correctional Unit on a work release program, failed to return from his job on November 14. He was picked up by Rappahannock County deputies at his brother’s home in Slate Mills on November 24.
