The idea for the forum grew out of concerns over environmental effects of uranium mining raised by Marline Uranium Corporation's efforts to negotiate uranium mining leases with landowners in Culpeper, Madison, Orange and Fauquier counties.
Marline representatives and other experts on the uranium industry will be the featured speakers at next week’s forum, the first of at least two sessions designed to promote public dialogue.
