Gong Show
This Friday
The Rappahannock Gong Show, a fund-raising activity to benefit the seventh grade’s annual Williamsburg trip, will be held this Friday, December 12, at the elementary school. Admission is 75 cents for students and SI.50 for adults. Emcee for the gala line-up of entertainment will be Laurie Marshall, local artist and teacher for the elementary <and high school gifted and talented programs. Identity of the three judges who will wield the gong is still a closely guarded secret.
Rehearsal for the show will be at 2 p.m. on Friday during the school day, allowing elementary students a sneak preview at the production.
In addition to the Gong Show acts, there will also be refreshments and baked goods on sale during intermission. Anyone willing to donate treats should contact the elementary school at 9878259 on Thursday or Friday.
In addition, monetary contributions from friends and supporters of the seventh grade who are unable to attend Friday’s show will be gratefully accepted.
