Recovered
A vehicle stolen from Triplett Milling Company apparently as part of a burglary was recovered by state police this Monday, according to trooper R. A. Baines.
The 1%6 Ford truck with a van body was found in a field at the intersection of Routes 600 and 671 at Sperryville.
The vehicle was taken from Triplett’s in Culpeper sometime between the late night hours of December 6 and early in the morning of December 7; Baines reported. Subsequently, police discovered that the business had also been burglarized, the trooper said. “Apparently, the truck was stolen after the burglary for transportation,” he added. In conjunction with the Culpeper Police Department, the state police is continuing its investigation of the incident.
In addition, on December 4, the Rappahannock Sheriff’s Department recovered a bicycle stolen from the porch of Charles Eldred’s Washington residence on November 29. According to sheriff W. A. Buntin, a petition against the juvenile involved in the theft will be issued by the court.
