BCIA Bulls
On Test
BLACKSBURG—Five hundred and five buils are currently on test at the three Virginia Beef Cattle Improvement Association (BCIA) bull test stations in Culpeper, Red House and Wytheville.
There are 118 senior bulls and 89 junior bulls on test at Culpeper Agricultural Enterprises. At Red House Bull Evaluation Center, there are 124 senior bulls and 64 junior bulls. Thirty-four registered heifers are also on test at Red House. At the Southwest Bull Test Station in Wytheville, there are 111 bulls.
In each test, approximately two-thirds of the number on test will be sold on. the following dates: Culpeper senior bulls, Saturday, Jan. 24; Culpeper junior bulls, Friday, March 27; Red House senior bulls, Saturday, Jan. 31; Red House junior bulls and heifers, Saturday, March 7; Wytheville bulls, Saturday, April 4.
