Dr. and Mrs. William Lynn, administrators of Wakefield School in Huntly, presented the preliminary plans for a proposed gymnasium-natatorium complex to parents at the school’s parents’ association meeting December 9.
The architectural drawings for the gym were shown and desired features discussed. Plans include a full-sized high school basketball court with retractable seating and instructional play areas, a 25yard pool, lockerroom facilities and lobby area. The increased enrollment last fall, the largest in the school’s history, has necessitated the addition of facilities to accommodate particularly the preparatory students, according to Lynn.
