At the annual meeting last week of the concert association's board of directors, the Empire Brass and V.eri and Jamanis were also selected for the 1981-82 concert season.
The Empire Brass, “a brilliant quintet” composed of two trumpets, a French horn and two tubas, is scheduled for January, according to Mrs. Frantz.
Veri-Jamanis will perform in April. Mrs. Frantz described the piano duo as "a real sleeper.” The two are highly acclaimed for their recordings and aired their third public broadcasting system special last season.
The five-county community concert association is dedicated to bringing fine musical and cultural entertainment to the area. Rappahannock’s representatives on the board of directors include Mr. and Mrs. Paul Frantz, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Herndon and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bomberger.
