Mrs. Gladys Catherine Jolliffee of Viewtown, died on Monday, March 21, 1983, at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
She was the wife of Benjamin Franklin Jolliffe and was the daughter of the late William Wallace and Rosie Blanche Jolliffe Newman. She was bom in Rappahannock County on September 5, 1912. She was a retired clerk for the U.S. Department of Defense, and a member of Gourd vine Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Vivian Yancey of Viewtown.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday at the Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper by the Rev. James Crane. Burial was in Hillcrest Memory Gardens at Jeffersonton.
Pallbearers were Thomas Utz, Howard Myers, Roy Hitt, Thomas Woodward, E. Arley Estes, H.D. Crigler, Willie Singleton, Ennis Bawkey, John Boldridge and Edward Boldridge.
